It was a grandeur day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments! I had the incredible privilege of capturing Victoria and Ryan’s wedding over the Labor Day Weekend. This event truly encapsulated the couple’s vibrant spirit. Nestled amidst the lush greenery and serene mountains of Highlands, NC, The Farm at Old Edwards was the perfect setting for their intimate celebration.
First, we started off with a pickleball tournament between the wedding guests. The weather was amazing and felt like a perfect fall day, and the competition was fierce! Afterward, we freshened up and had a lovely welcome dinner at Flat Mountain Farm in Highlands, NC. It’s a gorgeous property, with more to come about it later!
On wedding day, from the moment I walked into the Farmhouse, the air buzzed with excitement. Victoria, looking absolutely stunning, got ready, surrounded by her favorite people. Not far away, Ryan and his groomsmen prepared for the day at Flat Mountain Farm. Their anticipation was palpable, and it was a joy to capture.
The ceremony at the Orchard House was beautiful and marked by a family tradition of sipping from a “loving cup.” As the couple exchanged vows, their profound love for each other was evident. Post-ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests moved to the Barn at The Farm at Old Edwards for cocktail hour.
Their reception, held under the Pavilion, was a sight to behold. An amalgamation of pastel purples, blues, yellows, greens, and peach tones beautifully complements their guests’ elegant black-tie optional (this is def one of my favorite dress codes). The couple’s first and last dances were pure magic. As everyone gathered outside for the sparkler exit, Victoria and Ryan shared a private last dance to Frankie Valli’s Let’s Hang On to What We’ve Got song, a moment that was both intimate and touching.
The night ended, but the celebration was far from over. As the couple departed under an archway of sparklers created by their guests, they carried memories that will last a lifetime.
