For over 25 years, Troy has worked with elementary, middle school, high school, college, and non-traditional students, helping them succeed in courses up through Calculus, as well as with standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, and has taught math in middle and high school settings, including working as a substitute in a math/special education program. In 2007, Troy passed the NC Praxis II knowledge and pedagogy exams, earning the label of "highly qualified" to teach math. In his spare time, Troy is an avid hiker, appreciator of nature, and holistic health and wellness enthusiast and advocate.
