Feeding the Hungry in Henderson County at The Storehouse Featured

The Storehouse is a treasure and a blessing for the good folks of Hendersonville and Henderson County. A Christian Food and Hygeine Pantry that served those in need. Through a partnership with Manna Food Bank and other Local Stores, they recieve very generous donations of food to feed the elderly and families of Henderson County. Food Distribution at The Storehouse is Wednesday through Friday every week and Senior Deliveries are made the 1st Friday of every month as well. Twice monthly, 40 people are served at the Sammy Williams Center in partnership with the Council on Aging. All tolled, over 400+ Families are helped by Lynn Staggs, Executive DIrector, and the Staff and Volunteers at this amazing organization. The Storehouse also teams up with Fletcher Area Business Association to assist their Snack Pack Program which supplies snacks to kids in need at several local area elementary schools, and also supplements several area Backpack Programs as well.

 Of special importance this time of the year, Blessings in Boxes 2017 will provide over 2000 local children with gifts for Christmas. In conjunction with Henderson County Public Schools, clothes, coats, toys, and books will be distributed at Upward Christian Fellowship Church on December 15th and 16th, 2017. How can you help the children? Sponsor a local child, assist with organization of the distribution site, pray with families, and help distribute gifts to families.
